As part of an extensive renovation which included a new 3 gar garage with rooftop garden, VDC was engaged by the client to develop a creative design solution for the terrace which included a large gathering area, various seating areas, an area for ping pong, and raised planting beds. As part of the terrace, VDC designed a wood pergola located over top of the built in seating area to provide an element of shade. Working closely with Living Roofs, Inc. an Asheville based green roof construction company along with the General Contractor JAG Construction and Landscape Contractor Greaterscapes, VDC developed custom details to address various design challenges to bring the vision to fruition.
