As the first building of a new mixed-use village center, the Reynolds YMCA showcases a modern interpretation of the traditional southern downtown. VDC developed a plan for the site that offers multiple exterior spaces that will support a variety of uses including outdoor dining, public gatherings and intimate seating areas.

Great attention was given to the grade transitions to elegantly accomodate the varying floor elevations as the building steps down the slope. A variety of materials and textures were used to complement the style and materials used in the architecture and help divide the site into unique spaces.
