A high-end private residence just outside Blowing Rock NC, VDC began the project by studying the site closely to determine the best homesite location by balancing the goals of the client with the opportunities and constraints of the land. VDC located the house just off of the top of the ridgeline to help diminish the visual impact of the structure and better nestle the home into the landscape while still taking advantage of the 270 degree of long range mountain views.  

The outdoor spaces include a formal autocourt/drop off, a wall water feature at the entrance to the home, an outdoor kitchen and lower spa pool terrace as well as a breakfast patio with water feature.
