Conceptual Planning and visioning for a mixed-use resort development seated between two lakes in the South Carolina foothills. The soul of the project is a village that is so closely integrated with the site that it is not only self-sustaining, but will help accelerate the regeneration of various natural systems on site that were degraded by previous logging operations. Stormwater throughout the site is managed with a series of systems that not only detain and cleanse runoff, but will also be an integral part of the visual aesthetic and interpretive features of the village in the form of green roofs, cisterns, rain gardens and constructed wetlands.
